Our 2008-2009 School Year

We started school on Monday August 18, 2008. We are using Landmark Freedom Baptist Curriculum this year. On our first day we tried the alternative schedule of doing the entire week's worth of 1 subject in one day. Our day went like this Bible, Spelling, Math, English and then the entire week's worth of Science. Well, Jacob didn't really care for this so we went back to a traditional schedule today. We are doing Bible, Spelling, Math, English, Science, History and Literature. So far we are both liking the new curriculum. Our days have gone fairly smoothly.

Prayer Request

Thank you all for your prayers. Jerry passed away at 1:08 A.M. this morning. He was only 64 years old, but at least his suffering has ended. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Chicago police officer. We love and miss you Jerry!!!

My husband's youngest brother had a brain aneurysm and is brain dead following emergency surgery. Please keep our family in your prayers.
